Overview

What it is.

MX-Co74 shares the hexagonal channels of MOF-74 but places cobalt at the open metal sites. Changing the metal changes how strongly molecules bind, which is why we develop both and test them side by side.

It is being evaluated for CO₂ capture and for water treatment, where heavy metals and organic contaminants are the target.

Benefits

Why choose it.

  • Same channels, another metal

Compare two binding strengths on one stream.

  • Water treatment trials

Being evaluated for heavy metals and organic contaminants.

  • Reusable

Developed for regeneration and reuse, not one-off use.
