Overview

What it is.

MX-Mg74 is built on the MOF-74 framework, whose magnesium sites face straight into hexagonal channels. CO₂ binds at those sites while nitrogen and the rest of the flue gas pass through.

Because the bond is selective but not permanent, the bed can be emptied with mild heat. That is where the saving comes from: less heat per cycle, and a material that is reused rather than replaced.

Benefits

Why choose it.

  • Selective for CO₂

Open magnesium sites favour CO₂ over N₂ in flue gas.

  • Mild regeneration

Designed to release CO₂ at 120 °C or below (target).

  • Built for many cycles

Aimed at keeping more than 90 % of its capacity over repeated cycles.
